Welcome
to Super Pig's Food Web Lesson!
The first part of the lesson is to explore
what a food web is. Click on the pictures below and find the answer to these
questions:
1. What is a producer?
2. What are the three levels of consumers?
3. What is a decomposer?
4. What is a food web?
5. How is a food web different from a food chain?
When all the groups are
finished, we will discuss the answers together.
Work together, find the answers, and have fun doing it!
The second part of your
assignment requires you to pair up.
You and your partner will research the organism that you drew.
For example, if you drew a shark, then click on the shark.
Research your organism, take notes in your notebook, make a food web, and
write a two paragraph paper about how your organism interacts with other organisms
and its environment.
Your paper will have to tell me what your organism is (producer, consumer
1 or 2 or 3, or is it a decomposer) and what that means. You will also need
to tell me why your organism is helpful to its environment.
