A little information on the teacher:

Mrs. Westling is proudly and happily married to a recently retired Army soldier, Don Westling and has three children, Brad, Valerie and Bryan. She also has one grandson, Lucas. She has lived in Waynesville since 1993 and taught fourth grade in the Waynesville School District from 1997 to 2008 with the exception of 2004-2005, when she was the Lead Kindergarten Teacher at Pence Elementary (also in the Waynesville School District). Fourth grade at Williams was her first teaching assignment. She has been teaching Kindergarten since 2008. When Pence and Williams closed due to district realignment, she transferred to Pick. Prior to that, Mrs. Westling was assigned to Williams Elementary. Before moving to Waynesville, she was in Early Childhood Administration.

Mrs. Westling has a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA and a Masters in Elementary Education from Drury University in Springfield, MO. She has her administrative certification and also recently finished her Specialist Degree through Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO.

Mrs. Westling is a member of several organizations - National Association for the Education of Young Children; Daughters of the American Revolution; Missouri National Educators Association; National Association of Elementary School Principals; Association for Curriculum and Supervision; Virtual Parrothead Club and Order of the Eastern Star.
