     Welcome to my eMINTS classroom web-site.  I am so happy that you are visiting.  eMINTS,  if you are not familiar with the program, is a program that is in cooperation with the Missouri Department of Secondary and Elementary Education and MORENet.  eMINTS is an acronym for "enhancing Missouri's Instructional Networked Teaching Strategies". This program will progress throughout the year from a slow beginning of how to operate the computers to a program that will teach various computer programs such as Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word, and other various programs.  The class will also learn how to use web-sites to complement our current books and we will also use web-quests to gain knowledge pertaining to our curriculum.    

   The purpose of this web-site is to inform parents and patrons of our school of what is happening in our classroom.  Third grade is a year full of change and excitement.  It is a year of chapter books, cursive writing, multiplication and extensive writing! 

   This web-site will be the site to find spelling lists, weekly newsletters, happenings in our classroom, classroom projects, and what is coming up in our room.  Please keep in mind that I am being trained to teach with the eMINTS theories and as I am trained I will learn more and more about the computers.  The newsletters and spelling lists won't be on here immediately after the beginning of school, but eventually they will be on this site.  I think that will be such an advantage for parents and students.
