Please write them in the notebook you chose for reading.  Write each prompt on one side of your notebook page to allow room for the prompt and your response.  You only have to write a short paragraph (about a half page) for each of the 5 prompts.  Do not write two prompts on one side of your notebook page because it will become cluttered and hard to read.
You may choose to do all the prompts at once, or one per night.  Do not try to do all 5 the night before the due date or you will fall behind and get very stressed!
Each prompt is worth 5 points.  Total for the week = 25 points.

Weekly Writing Prompts
Please write them in the notebook you chose for reading.  Write each prompt on one side of your notebook page to allow room for the prompt and your response.  You only have to write a short paragraph (about a half page) for each of the 5 prompts.  Do not write two prompts on one side of your notebook page because it will become cluttered and hard to read.
You may choose to do all the prompts at once, or one per night.  Do not try to do all 5 the night before the due date or you will fall behind and get very stressed!
Each prompt is worth 5 points.  Total for the week = 25 points.

Begin Persuasive Writing Prompts (All due Fri. 1-22-10):
1.  (Due Friday, 1-15-10) Would you want to be a baseball player?  Write a paragraph explaining why or
      why not.
2.  Write a paragraph describing the similarities and differences between baseball and football.
3.  Sporting events are fun to watch.  Write a letter asking your friends to go to a game with you.
4.  Suppose you could interview a famous baseball player.  What three questions would you ask?
5.  Write a review of your favorite sports movie.  Briefly describe it and tell why people should see it.

4 book reports due by the end of the 3rd quarter: Friday, 3-5-10
(Don't wait until the end of the quarter.  Start reading novels now!)
You must bring to school the book you are reading for book reports.
