Using
the "Four Block" method to teach Language Arts allows students to have
a "balanced diet" by providing Guided Reading, Self Selected Reading, Writing
and Working With Words. The "Word Block" using the text "Month By
Month Phonics For Upper Grades" by Carson Dellosa provides students the
opportunity to work, play and practice with words in different contexts
to improve their reading and writing skills.
